About
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the owner and manager of Flying Start Pre-school.
Having spent 15 years as a Primary School Teacher working in Nursery through to Year 6 and 7 years spent as a Deputy Headteacher, I am now the very proud owner of Flying Start Pre-School.
I grew up in Cornwall, but after completing my BA Hons in Primary School Teaching at St Mary’s College, Twickenham, I haven’t left the area. My husband Tim and I, have lived in Molesey for 9 years now and just love the community feel and living so close to the river to walk our dog. We have two young boys, Jude and Benji, who keep us very busy.
As owner and manager of Flying Start, I have the opportunity to combine my passion for education and experience in management. It is important to the team and I, that children feel safe and happy, have fun while learning through play and we spark their natural curiosity to investigate, explore and question.

Our ethos is to learn through play and exploration. Our children enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities led by their own interests and inquiries. We plan a variety of challenging and motivating activities, enabling children to build their confidence, learn to explore, to think about problems and relate to others. We follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and therefore offer a broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
In these early years, we will guide your children through a warm and inspiring environment, where they can thrive, become confident, kind and resilient little people, with a love for life-long learning.
